NephroSense AI at a glance

What it is for
NephroSense AI is clinical decision support for adult patients. It takes a routine adult workup — blood work and vitals entered directly or uploaded as a lab report — and returns a risk band, a confidence signal and KDIGO-aligned clinical considerations for clinician review.
The intended users are clinicians and care teams. It is not designed for pediatric use, and it does not diagnose kidney disease.
What the clinician receives
The output is a prioritization: which patients to review for confirmatory eGFR and urine albumin testing next. Confirmatory testing is ordered by the clinician after a flag, and every clinical decision remains the provider's, based on a complete patient evaluation.

The confidence signal
Every prediction carries a confidence signal beside the risk band. The clinician reviews both alongside the full clinical record before deciding the next step.
Where the work stands
The product runs today on a routine adult panel entered directly or uploaded as a lab report, and returns a PDF report and FHIR R4-shaped output. Embedded EHR deployment — reading results automatically and returning structured risk into the chart — is in development.
Current evidence
Retrospective feasibility demonstrated on a US adult clinical cohort. Retrospective external testing on an independent US cohort is complete; the result is company-reported, unpublished and not yet peer reviewed.
Where this stops
NephroSense AI is Clinical Decision Support, not a diagnostic. It does not replace urine testing, eGFR or any other test, and it does not diagnose CKD. Confirmatory kidney testing is ordered by the clinician after a patient is flagged, and every clinical decision remains the provider's, based on a complete patient evaluation.
